THE EVILS OF DECEPTION
All praise is due to Allah who has extracted His devoted friends from the utter darkness of disbelief into the light of guidance, while He permits His enemies to enter into predicaments of deception.
I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah, alone. There is no partner unto Him. I also bear witness that Muhammed (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), our leader and master is Allah’s true servant and messenger who removes mankind from the glooiness and darkness of disbelief and evil practices.
May Allah’s peace and blessings eternally be upon Muhammed (Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam) and his illustrious companions who were not deceived by the abode of this world and nor were they deceived regarding Allah by any form of deception. May these salutations continue through the passing of every hour and month. The key to happiness is in being awake and receptive to the reality of this existence, while the spring of wretchedness emanates from deception and negligence. The intellectually minded are those whose chests have been opened to following the correct path in conformity with the proofs of guidance, while the deceived are those whose chests are restricted from accepting guidance by following lusts and desires. His sight thus continued to be blind and so could not be assured of being guided. His soul remains blinded from realities, he accepts his impulsive desires as a leader and adopts Shaytaan as a proof for his misconduct. He who remains blind to truth in this world will be most blind to the fairings of the hereafter.
Allah Ta’aala says: “Let not the life of the world beguile you, nor let the deceiver (Shaytaan) or deceptions beguile you from the orders of Allah.”
Allah Ta’aala says: “They will cry unto them saying: Were we not with you? (To which the righteous party will reply) Verily, but you tempted one another, hesitated, doubted and desires beguiled you until the decree (of death) by Allah (overtook you) and you were left deceived from Allah by Shaytaan."
Allah Ta’aala says: “And from amidst them are those illiterate who do not know the (the meanings of their) Revealed Scripture except hearsay: They do nothing except guess.”
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam said: “An intelligent person is one who guards himself and works for that which follows death while a useless person is he who allows his soul to freely follow his desires and (yet expects) his hopes to be fulfilled by Allah.” (Tirmizi, Ibn Majah)
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam said: “None of you is a true believer until his desires are subjected to the teachings i have brought.” (Sharhus-Sunnah)
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam said: “There will be a generation in my Ummah who will commit all these evil and vain desires in the manner that scabies spreads upon an animal or person, whi is inflicted by the disease. The disease will enter and permeate every vein and joint of such a person. (Musnad Ahmed, Abu Dawud)
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam said: “He who interprets the Quraan by his personal opinion should prepare his seat in the fire of Jahannam.” (Tirmizi)
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam said: “The worst of actions are those that are most recently innovated while every innovation while every innovation (in religion) is a form of misguidance.”
I seek refuge with Allah from Shaytaan, the accursed
Allah Ta’aala says: “They follow nothing but deception and that which their (bestial) souls desire. Indeed, while guidance has already come to them from their Sustainer. Or is it that man has all that which he desires. So, unto Allah belongs the Hereafter and the earthly life.”
(Khutbaatul Ahkaam, Pg. 62,63)
DUA WHEN DRINKING ZAM ZAM
According to a Hadeeth, with whatever intention the water of Zam Zam is consumed, it will be attained. If you drink it to be cured of a disease, Allah will cure you. If you drink it for protection, Allah will grant you protection (against anything such as an enemy, disease etc.). If you drink it to quench your thirst, it will be quenched.
Abdullah Bin Abbas Radiyallahu Anhu used to recite this Dua before drinking Zam Zam:
“Allahumma inni asaluka ilman naafia’ wa rizqan waasia’ wa shifaa ammin kulli daa”
O Allah, I ask you to grant me beneficial knowledge, abundant sustenance and cure from all diseases.
(Al Hisnul Haseen Pg. 166,167)
While some Haajis have already returned, most will return soon. The opportunity of drinking Zam Zam increases with the arrival of the Hujaaj. Let us read the Dua and make Dua for whatever we require when drinking Zam Zam.

500g
beef / mutton cubes or ready made mince
1 onion
1 small tomato
3 slices bread soaked in water
10 green chilies
½ bunch methi bhaji chopped
½ bunch green dhana chopped
1 tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp ginger/ garlic
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp jeeru
2 tsp dhana powder
1 Tbsp chana flour
10 sticks spring onion chopped
½ bunch mint leaves chopped
1 tsp baking powder
Mince together beef/ mutton, onion, tomato, bread and chilies. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Make small packets of mixture and freeze until needed or shape into small balls and deep fry in medium heat until medium brown
* Curry smells can be strong and while they are great when you're cooking and hungry, they are less then desirable when you're done with your meal. In other words, you don't want to keep smelling the curry you made yesterday, for the rest of the week! What to do? Simply place a small, uncovered bowl of soda bicarbonate in a corner on the kitchen counter. It will absorb all the smells and leave your kitchen (and therefore the rest of your house) free of cooking smells.
* Fresh coriander is often used in Indian dishes as an ingredient during the preparation of a dish or as a garnish after the dish is ready. It is however, not always easily available. It also perishes quickly. The next time you buy fresh coriander, keep it fresh for longer by chopping off the roots and then wrapping the leaves in a sheet of newspaper. Store in the crisper section of your refrigerator.
