At least 90% of leaders today have mansions, villas, holiday homes etc all around the world….
Abu Saalih Ghifaari Radiyallahu anhu narrates: Amr Bin Al Aas Radiyallahu anhu (While in Egypt) once wrote to Umar Radiyallahu anhu stating: "We have reserved a house for you here next to the Jaami Masjid. Umar Radiyallahu Anhu wrote back saying, "Why should a man living in Hijaaz have a house in Egypt." Umar Radiyallu Anhu then ordered that the area be converted into a marketplace for the Muslim public. (Putting the publics needs before his)
Besides seeing to the needs of the people of high status and those with power, many leaders have no idea whats happening regarding the conditions of the general public…
Awzaa’ee Rahmatullah Alaihi reports: Talha Radiyallahu Anhu once spotted Umar Radiyallahu Anhu coming out (of his house) late at night. Umar Radiyallahu Anhu entered a house and then another house. The following morning, Talha Radiyallahu anhu went to the house, where he found and old woman who was blind and cripple. Talha Radiyallahu anhu asked her, "Why does that man come to you?" She then informed Talha Radiyallahu Anhu that Umar Radiyallahu Anhu had been frequently coming to her for many years to see to her needs and to remove all the filth from her house. Talha Radiyallahu Anhu then said to himself, "Shame on you. O Talha! Were you searching for faults in Umar?!"
Another unfortunate reality we find nowadays, while the leaders might be sending rosy messages regarding service delivery, the mayors/sub ordinate’s quality of service is nowhere near such descriptions…..
Tawoos Rahmatullah Alaihi narrates: Umar Radiyallahu once asked (the people), "Tell me whether I would be discharging my responsibility if I appoint over you a person who is the best of you in my knowledge and then I command him to be just?" "Most certainly" came the reply. Umar Radiyallahu anhu then said, "No (I would still not have discharged my responsibility), unless I inspect whether or not he is doing what I have commanded him to do."
Around the globe on a daily basis we hear of presidents, leaders etc involved in fraud or illegal deals where millions, if not billions, of taxpayers money end up in their bank accounts….
Umar Radiyallahu Anhu once received some musk from Bahrain and said: "I want someone to weight it, so that it may be equally distributed among the Muslims." His wife volunteered to weight it however Umar Radiyallahu Anhu kept queit and repeated his statement. Again she volunteered but Umar Radiyallahu Anhu repeated the statement for the third time. When his wife volunteered for the third time, Umar Radiyallahu Anhu said: "I do not like your touching the musk with your hands (While weighing it) and rubbing those hands on your body afterwards, as that would amount to something over and above my legitimate share."

CRISPY
FISH WITH TARTAR SAUCE

Ingredients
2 ½ kg Hake or King klip - 2 teaspoon pepper - 4 tablespoons
lemon juice - 2 teaspoon salt - 1 cup four.
Method
Marinate fish in salt, pepper and lemon juice
Batter
Ingredients
2 ½ cups flour - 3 teaspoons salt - 8 eggs beaten - ¾ cup
milk - 1/3 cup water - Oil for deep frying.
Method
1. Sift flour and salt in a bowl.
2. Whisk eggs and milk together with the water.
3. Add to the flour and whisk for 2 ? 4 minutes.
4. Coat fish in flour.
5. Dip in batter and deep fry in heated oil until golden and crisp.
6. Remove with a slotted spoon onto paper towel.
7. Serve garnished with lemon wedges and parsley with chips and tartar
sauce.

Sauce Ingredients
500ml mayonnaise - 3 ½ Tablespoons gherkins chopped - 2 medium
onions diced - 3 ½ Tablespoons chopped parsley - 2 teaspoon lemon
pepper - 4 to 5 ml paprika.
Method
Combine all above ingredients together and stir.
