Luqman (Alaihis Salaam) on the need to have a pleasing tongue and sound heart.
Yazid Ibn Hamn and Waki' told us after Abul AShhab after Khalid Ar-Rab'i as saying:
"Luqman was an Ethiopian slave who worked as a carpenter. One day, his master ordered him to slaughter a goat and bring him the most pleasant and delicious two parts thereof.
Luqman did so and brought him the tongue and heart. The master asked: Did not you find anything more pleasant than these? Luqman said: No!
After a while, the master ordered him to slaughter a goat and to throw the most malignant two parts thereof. Luqman slaughtered the goat and threw the tongue and heart.
The master exclaimed and said: I ordered you to bring me the most delicious parts thereof and you brought me the tongue and heart, and I ordered you to throw away the most malignant parts thereof and you threw the tongue and heart, how can this be?
Luqman said: 'Nothing can be more pleasing than these if they were good, and nothing can be more malicious than these if they were malignant."
Luqman on "Speech is silver and silence is golden"...
Luqman
said to his son: "O my son! I have never regretted
because of keeping silent.
If words are silver, silence is golden."
SALAATUL AWAABEEN
Q.
What is Salaatul Awaabeen?
A. Salaatul Awaabeen is a Nafl (optional) Salaah that
is to be performed after the Maghrib Salaah.
Q.
Explain the method of performing Salaatul Awaabeen?
A. The minimum number of Rakaats that can be performed
is 6 and the maximum is 20. It can be performed in units of 2 or 4 Rakaats
although 2 Rakaat units is preferred. There is no difference innits
method. It will be performed just as all the other Salaahs are performed.
Q.
What are the benefits of performing this Salaah?
A. Firstly, it will attract the pleasure of Allah Ta’aala.
Ammar Bin Yasir Radiyallahu Anhu says that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa
Sallam offered 6 Rakaats after Maghrib himself and said that whosoever
offers 6 Rakaats after Maghrib will have all his sins forgiven even
if they are as much as the foam of the ocean.
Q.
Can I make the intention of Awaabeen along with my 2 Rakaats Nafl for
Maghrib?
A. Yes, a person can make the intention of Awaabeen
when performing the 2 Rakaats of Nafl for Maghrib. Thereafter he/she
will only have to perform 4 extra Rakaats for Salaatul Awaabeen. A person
can make as many intentions as he wishes when performing Nafl Salaah.
E.g. When performing 2 Rakaats Nafl Salaah for Maghrib, aperson can
also make the intention of Salaatul Shukr, SAlaatul Awaabeen, Salaatul
Haajaat, Salaatul Taubah etc.

* Body Odour... to remove body odour from the armpits of long sleeve running shirts and Under Arm winter athletic wear, pre-soak the armpits in vinegar before washing normally. Doesn't seem to discolor them, and they do smell much better.
* Bleach Smell... To remove bleach smell from hands (and that slimy feeling) pour a little vinegar or lemon juice over your hands then rinse. (bleach is alkaline, vinegar and lemon are acid, so they cancel each other out and balance the pH of your skin.)
Ingredients
:
1kg
tenderised steak – cut into pieces
1 tsp salt
1 tsp fine red chillies
1 tsp ground green chillies
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp ground garlic
2 tbsp vinegar
¼ cup oil
4 – 5 tbsp mayonnaise
Method
:
Mix
all the ingredients together and marinate steak overnight. Place steak
in an oven tray and cover with foil. Place in 200 degree preheated oven
for 20 minutes. Turn steak and lower heat to 160 degrees. Cover with foil
again and bake for a further 20 minutes. Remove foil and grill for 5 –
10 minutes on each side. Brush with ghee and serve with garlic potatoes.
Alternately – braai the steak.
