SURAH NOOH 71: (Prophet Nooh Alaihis Salaam)
This
Surah is Makki. It has 28 verses and 2 sections.
With the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Very- Merciful
"Whenever I called them so that you may forgive them, they placed their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their shawls, remained implacable and expressed great pride" [7] "I then called to them publicly" [8] "And explained to them openly and privately" [9] "I said to them, seek forgiveness from your Rabb indeed He is most forgiving" [10]
COMMENTARY: In the previous lesson, we discussed Nooh Alaihis Salaam giving a report – back of his mission to Allah Ta'aala saying that his people rejectd him. We also mentioned that the Nooh Alaihis Salaam invited Gave Dawat) his people towards Allah for a period of about 950 years.
In this weeks lesson, Nooh Alaihis Salaam continues his conversation with Allah Ta'aala saying that his people went to the extent of physically rejecting his message by blocking their ears etc. Nooh Alaihis Salaam mentions that he spoke to his people in a gathering, on an individual basis and encouraged them to ask Allah to forgive them. These verses has a striking resemblance to a very common effort in todays era i.e. The Tabligh Jamaat. Doors are slamed in their faces just as ears were blocked in front of the Ambiyaa Alaihis Salaam. Bayaans are given in a gathering as well as on an individual basis (Ghust) just like the 8th and 9th verse mentions. Notice how Nooh Alaihis Salaam did not mention their faults but rather mentioned the mercy of Allah in the 10th verse. Whenever we invite others towards this beautiful Deen, we should never disclose their faults as this will take them further away. We should rather speak of Allah's mercy and greatness. Yes, we can speak of punishment but majority should be regarding the mercy and kindness of Allah Ta'aala.

KEBAB
Ingredient
½ kilo chicken Fillet - 1 medium onion ½ cup lemon juice
- 2 tblsp Olive oil - 1 tsp crushed garlic - 2 tsp ground green chillies
- 1 ½ tsp crushed jeeru - 1 tsp crushed dhana - 1 tsp salt - ¼
tsp cinnamon - ¼ cup fresh parsley finely chopped - ¼ cup
fresh dhania leaves finely chopped.
Method
Cut fillet into cubes. Process onion lemon juice olive oil garlic and
pour into a bowl. Add spices parsley and coriander leaves to onion marinade.
Combine marinade and fillet and leave overnight. Thread 2/3 pieces of
chicken cubes onto a toothpick or on a long skewer. Cook on a non stick
pan or barbecue until done.
