How Are We Preparing For The Aakhirah?

Temptations of this world are many, men and women are weak but are probably not of sound mental judgment, who in their right senses would want to succumb to a measly pleasure of this temporary abode, when superseding pleasure beyond their wildest imaginations awaits them for all eternity?

This world is just an illusion with all it's trappings. We can be ensnared by all the glitter and glamour that it holds. But when we remember our Creator, we adjust our way of thinking and realize that this world and all it holds is but temporary.

We as Mu'mins should ask ourselves how are we preparing for the Aakhirah? Gentle and discerning reader! ALLAH TA'ALA has given us the
freedom of choice. Choose the correct Imaan and Aqeedah, and, by ALLAH TA'ALA you shall never regret. The following are beautiful examples of
our beloved Rasul Paak (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and His Companions and their ways of preparing for the Aakhirah.

Ibn Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu) narrates that on one occasion, Rasul Paak (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) took him by the shoulder and spoke to him. He (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Be in this world as a stranger or as a pilgrim passing by". He (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) also said, "At night, do not anticipate the day and during the day, do not await for the night. Use your good health before you fall sick and take full advantage of your life before death overtakes you". (Bukhari)

This Hadith teaches us how to restrict our expectations of this world in a perfect way; and it also cautions us against thinking that this world is the end of the journey. We should guard ourselves against any feelings of ease in this world and always embrace the idea of our journey to the Aakhirah. We must always occupy ourselves in the preparations of this journey. This was a message which was brought by all the previous Messengers of ALLAH TA'ALA to their people.

ALLAH TA'ALA mentions a verse in the Qur'aan Sharief in which Musa (Alaihis Salaam) said to his nation, "O my people, Indeed this worldly life is but a swift and passing enjoyment. And definitely the life in the Hereafter is the Everlasting Abode". (Qur'aan 40: 39)

Ali Bin Abi Taalib is reported to have said, "People spend their entire lives being concerned with this world, which is departing; while they neglect to prepare for the next life which is approaching".

Umar Bin Abdul Aziz (Radhiyallahu Anhu) said during a lecture of his,"This world is not for your settlement, ALLAH TA'ALA has decreed that it and it's inhabitants be annihilated. So excel in your preparation for the journey by acquiring the most efficient means of transport. Take with you the necessary provisions. And remember always that the best of provisions is Taqwa (consciousness of ALLAH TA'ALA)". This is how our pious predecessors lived their lives in order to be successful in the Aakhirah.

Beloved reader! Be concerned about your Aakhirah. Do something constructive today, and you shall never regret tomorrow. Do not procrastinate, for procrastination is the thief of time. Do not leave anything for tomorrow, for tomorrow never comes. Do remember that today is the tomorrow of yesterday.

Therefore, beloved reader, do something righ here, right now. Make a start right now and Insha-ALLAH, you shall never regret. Whatever good you do on ALLAH'S earth today you shall see it tomorrow in the Aakhirah. ALLAH, Most High, tells us in the Qur'aan Sharief, "Thus the person who does an atoms worth of good (today) shall see it (tomorrow in the Aakhirah), and the one who does an atoms worth of evil (today) shall see it (in the Aakhirah tomorrow)". (Qur'aan 99: 7-8)

Beloved reader! Let us thread this path that shall lead to ALLAH
TA'ALA'S Love and Jannah. For by ALLAH TA'ALA, I love you to have Jannah just as I love it for myself.

MUSLIMS CONVERGE ON DURBAN BEACH FRONT – AN OCASSION OF IMMORALITY AND ZINA – MUFTI ZUBAIR BAYAT

On the occasion of the Mr Price Pro Competition, an annual event held in Durban and previously known as the Gunston 500, Mufti Zubair described the disturbing trend that seems to emanate therefrom. Mufti Zubair outlined the vices and immoralities that take place at these gatherings, sadly by a growing number of muslims too, and warned that by flagrantly violating Allah Ta’aala’s Laws with acts of zina, fornication, music, etc. we are attracting Allahs wrath by way of tsunamis …

THE SMILE

A store that sells husbands has just opened in Durban where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates. You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch... you may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and are religious.

The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, are religious
, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, are religious, love kids, and are extremely good looking. "Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men have jobs, are religious, love kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the housework. "Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, are religious, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.

Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!
