Anas Radiyallahu Anhu narrates: Once, during the time of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam the people were affected with draught. Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam was delivering the Khutbah on a Friday when a bedouin stood up and said, O Messenger of Allah, property has been destroyed, children are starving. Ask Allah (for favourable conditions) for us.
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam then raised His hands at a time when there was not a single cloud in the sky. By the oath of that being in whose hands lie my soul, Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam did not drop His hands (except that before that) clouds spread out like mountains. Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam did not descend from His pulpit (except that before that) I saw rain fall upon His (blessed) beard.
It rained for the remainder of the day and the next day and the next day (and it continued raining) until the next Friday. (The next Friday) That same bedouin or someone else stood up and said, O Messenger of Allah, structures have been damaged, properties have been drowned. Ask Allah (for favourable conditions) for us. Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam then raised His hands and said: "O Allah around us and not upon us".
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam did not point to any side of a cloud except that it dissolved. The city of Madinah became like a gap (it was as if there was a gap in the clouds that hung above Madinah because it continued to rain in the surrounding areas) and the valley of Qanah flowed for a month. None came from any part (outside Madinah) but gave information of profuse rain.

Ingredients
1kg Cubed Steak - 7 ml Salt to taste - 1 1/2 tsps ground Dhania - 1 tsp Ground Jeero - 1 tsp crushed dired red chillies - 3 tsps plain Ginger/Garlic - 3 whole cloves - 3 whole allspice - 3 cardomon seeds (elachi) - 2 pieces stick cinnamon - A few strands of Saffron - 50ml Sunflower Oil - 3 large onions thinly sliced - 1 large ripe tomato grated or finely chopped.
Method
Combine all the spices and toss with meat. Heat oil in a large saucepan
add onions and braise until golden. Add meat and spices and cook covered
on medium heat until tender. Add tomato and cook a further 15 minutes
adding a pinch of sugar if desired. Serve hot on a bed of savory rice.
