SINCERITY, GOOD INTENTION AND TRUTHFULNESS

All praise is due to Allah as He would be praised by those who are grateful. We bring faith in Him as those who truly believe. We admit His oneness like the acceptance of the truthful. We bear witness that there is non worthy of worship besides Him, the sustainer of the universe. He has ordered Jinn, Man and the chosen angels to worship Him in complete sincerity. We also bear witness that our leader, Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, His servant and messenger is the leader of all the messengers. May Allah Ta'aala's peace and blessings be upon Him, all the prophets, His noble family and pure companions.

It has becume evident to those blessed with insight by the power of Imaan (Faith) and the Quraan's illuminating instructions that one cannot attain true prosperity but by knowledge and worship. Thus, everybody faces the threat of destruction except the learned. Nevertheless, even the learned would be destroyed except those who are practical amongst them. Those who are practical would also face damnation besides those who are sincere. But the sincere ones tread a delicate path for acting without (acceptable) intention is (finally) only toil.

Intention void of sincerity is only ostentation and this is equivalent to hypocrisy and disobedience. Furthermore, sincerity without trueness and attainment (of the divine will i.e. without having the actions conform to the divine order) is fine dust (i.e. nothing worthwhile).

Allah Ta'aala says: "Verily the believers are those who brought faith in Allah and His messenger, then they harboured no doubts and strive with their wealth and lives in the path of Allah. These are the truthful ones.

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said to Mu'aaz Radiyallahu Anhu: "Be sincere in your Deen, a little action will then suffice you." (Haakim)

Once a person called out "O prophet of Allah, what is Imaan?" Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam replied: "Sincerity" (Tirmizi)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam also said: "Every action is judged by its intention, and every person will realise that which he had intended." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said to Abu Bakr Radiyallahu Anhu while he (the latter) was cursing one of his slaves: "Those who curse and also simultaneously be from the truthful ones? No, by the oath of the sustainer of the Kaabah, this can never be." Abu Bakr Radiyallahu Anhu then freed some slaves the very same day. He then came to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam and said: "I will never repeat this." (Baihaqi)

I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytaan, the accursed.

Allah Ta'aala says: "Say (O Muhammed), I have been ordered to worship Allah, practicing the Deen in sincerity."

(Khutbaatul Ahkaam; Pg 76,77)

WHEN IN DEBT OR FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY

The following Dua should be recited excessively when in debt or financial difficulty:

"Allahummak fini bi halaalika an haraamik wagh nini bi fadhlika amman siwaak"

"O Allah, provide me with lawful livelihood, adequate to my needs instead of ill - gotten one, and graciously grant me freedom from needing anything from anyone besides yourself."

Alternatively recite:

"Allahumma faarijal hammi kaashifal ghammi mujeebu da'watil mudhtorreen rahmaanad dunya wa raheema haa anta tarhamuni farr hamni bi rahmatin toogh nini bihaa an rahmati man siwaak"

O Allah, the soother of worry and grief, granter of the prayer of helpless people, the giver of mercy and grace in this world and the hereafter, you alone can have true mercy on me so favour me in a way that I may no longer stand in need of the kindness of others.

125grm butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsps baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
4 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup canned fruit salad drained
2 small bricks vanilla ice cream

* When mincing garlic, sprinkle on a little salt so the pieces won't stick to your knife or cutting board.
* If your cake recipe calls for nuts, heat them first in the oven, then dust with flour before adding to the batter to keep them from settling to the bottom of the pan.
* Brown gravy in a hurry with a bit of instant coffee straight from the jar... no bitter taste, either.

A man went to see his doctor because he was suffering from a miserable cold.
His doctor prescribed some pills, but they didn't help.
On his next visit the doctor gave him a shot, but that didn't do any good.
On his third visit the doctor told the man to go home and take a hot bath. As soon as he was finished bathing he was to throw open all the windows and stand in the draft.
"But doc," protested the patient, "if I do that, I'll get pneumonia."
"I know," said his physician. "I can cure pneumonia."
