SURAH AL- Jinn 72: (Jinns)
This
Surah is Makki. It has 28 verses and 2 sections.
With the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Very- Merciful
"Say, I do Not know whether what you have been promised is near or whether your Rabb has specified a lengthy term for it" [25] "He is the knower of the unseen and He has informed no one about his unseen knowledge" [26]
COMMENTARY: Last week we mentioned the occasion when Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam informed the Kuffar that His responsibility is only to convey. He cannot force them to accept Islam. The Kuffar will only realise the reality on the Day of Reckoning.
In this weeks lesson, Allah Ta'aala orders Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam to inform the Kuffar that He does not have any knowledge regarding the coming of a punishment or The Day of Reckoning. This is only in the knowledge of Allah Ta'aala and nothing is hidden from Allah Ta'aala. Allah Ta'aal has not informed anyone regarding the unseen. In next weeks Aayat it will be mentioned that Allah Ta'aala informed Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam regarding a few things of the unseen.

Meat Sauce
2 onions finely chopped plus oil to sauté onions - 1kg meat, washed trimmed and drained - 20ml garlic and ginger - 2 green chillies - 2 pieces of stick cinnamom - 3 cardamon pods - 3 whole cloves - 3 all spice berries - 30ml ground coriander - 15ml turmeric - 10ml fine cumin - 10ml fine fennel/somph - 15ml chilli powder - 1 large tomato grated - 250ml yoghurt - 1 bunch fresh coriander chopped - 5ml saffron soaked in boiling water - 250ml crispy friend onions, well golden - 125ml cooked lentils, kept aside (masoor) - 125ml melted butter - 14 small potatoes, fried in oil.
Method
Heat oil in large pot and then add onions and sauté until golden. Add
meat, ginger and garlic and sauté for 20 mins add water if necessary.
Add all spices and tomato and cook till soft, lastly add yoghurt and fresh
coriander. Cook for a further 10 mins until sauce is reduced.
The
Rice
Boli 4 cups rice with 2 sticks cinnamon, 3 cloves, 3 all spice berries,
3 cardamom pods, 60ml oil, 20ml salt in 2 liters water until rice is ¾
done. Rice must not be very soft. Drain.
To
Assemble
Using a pyrex, place a layer of rice at the bottom, then a layer of meat
sauce, followed by potatoes, lentils and fried onions. Repeat the process
until all rice and meat is used ending off with rice. Sprinkle the top
with saffron water, melted butter, lentils and onions. Cover with foil
and place in the oven and allow to steam until heated through.
Serve with dhai, onion salad, and/or atchar.
There
was a time in my youth,

story of someone who had morals,
Spoke gently, kindness he knew.
Never fearing to say what's right,
His conviction in ISLAM was true.
The
touch of his hand was as soft as silk
To comfort a crying child.
To mend his clothes, or do the chores,
Never complaining, he always smiled.
His
smell was always of musk,
And cleanliness he kept at his best.
Stark contrast with the heroes of today,
Who stink of beer and sweat.
He
held the hands of his companions.
Unashamed to play with many children.
So modest, so humble, a perfect example,
That strangers could not recognise him.
His
eyes slept little for nights were precious,
His prayers he treasured much greater.
To pray in the depths of night,
Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator.
He
broke his tooth for me at Uhud,
And bled for me at Ta'if.
He cried for me, tears of concern,
Just so I could have this belief.
His
enemies admired his teachings,
Uniting every religion, every clan.
Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world,
O, but indeed he was only a man.
To
own a house, or build his wealth
Was not his main priority.
To establish ISLAM was more essential,
To bring us under a Higher Authority.
Don't
you want him to plea for your case,
When before ALLAH-The Judge-you stand?
Don't you wish to be around his fountain,
A burning desire to drink from his hand?
So
I love him more than all creation,
My Leader, my Humble Prophet.
Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) was a mercy to all mankind,
And to me, he is MY BELOVED!

The Value of Walking

The Jinie said, "Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that will benefit your everyday life."
The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say nothing's wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy."
The Jinie replied, "You want that bridge with two lanes or four?"
