All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah and be dutiful to Him. Return rights to their due owners, Allaah will give you great reward and will save you from painful torments.

Dear brethren! Know that your Lord, out of His mercy, explains everything to you in His Book. His Messenger Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, has also guided you to the right path that will lead you to Paradise, save you from Hell and make you attain the happiness of this world. He explained to you the rights of Allaah upon His servants, for the rights of Allaah upon us are the greatest of those things that He has made obligatory for us. However, Allaah requests us to perform only those things that we are able to. It is Allaah's right upon us that He should be remembered and not be forgotten, obeyed and not disobeyed, and thanked for all His favours. This will make our life peaceful and blessed, under the shadow of His mercy, free from afflictions. Our life will be full of cooperation and love.

Allaah also explains for us the rights of the parents, the rights of the kith and kin and the obligations of the relatives to one another. Each person will be held accountable on this in this world and the Hereafter. If one fulfils these rights one will attain great degrees with Allaah. If one fails to fulfil these rights one will earn the wrath of Allaah.

Brethren in faith! Joining the tie of kinship is one of the greatest responsibilities of man. The kith and kin are the ones with whom one has blood or marriage relationship. Allaah emphasises the importance of the kith and kin in many places in His Book. He says,

"And give to the kindred his due and to the poor and to the wayfarer. But spend not wastefully (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift." (Al-Israa 17:26)

Allaah mentions joining the tie of kinship after He mentions the fear of Him. He says,

"Fear Allaah through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allaah is Ever an All-Watcher over you." (An-Nisaa 4:1)

It is the because of the importance of joining the tie of kinship and the fact that it is a fundamental element of morality and virtue that Allaah made it obligatory for nations that were before us. read more

Kagiso Asset Management: Unconventional thinking. Superior performance

Ingredients:
Boneless chicken (cubed) 1 kg
Salt as per taste
Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon
Whole Red Chillies 4-6
White Pepper Powder 1tablespoon
Vinegar 2-3 tablespoon
Soya Sauce 4 tablespoon
Chilli Sauce 2 tablespoon
Sugar 1 teaspoon
Chinese Salt 1 teaspoon
Tomato Paste 1 cup
Tomato Sauce 1 cup
Stock 1 cup
Cooking oil 4-6 tablespoon

Garnish:
Spring Onion (Chopped) 2 tablespoon
Carrot (Julienne) 2 tablespoon
Capsicum (Julienne) 2 tablespoon

Method:
Marinate chicken with chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, salt, white pepper, sugar and Chinese salt. Keep aside for half an hour. In a pot, heat Cooking Oil on medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Saute garlic for a minute and add chicken. Golden fry the chicken on high heat and remove it from the pot. In the same pot add tomato paste, ketchup and stock. Add salt, whole red chillies and cook until thick. Add the chicken and bring to a boil. Heat a sizzler plate (easily available in shops) on medium heat for 10 minutes and pour the machurian into the hot plate.

Presentation:
Garnish and serve hot with boiled rice or fried rice.

Tip:
To make chicken stock, boil 1/2 kg chicken bones in a pot with 4-6 cups of water until only one cup of stock remains. To avoid heek, add one small whole peeled onion and 2-4 black pepper corns when it comes to a boil. Instead of stock, you can also use 1-2 chicken cubes dissolved in 1 cup water.
