(SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM)
Ali Radiyallahu Anhu narrates: "Once Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam was indebted with Dinaars to a Jewish person who was known as so and so Aalim (his name is not mentioned but mention is made of the fact that he was learned). The man came to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam to claim that which was due to him. Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said: "I do not have anything with me to give you (at the moment)."
The Jewish man said: "Then verily Oh Muhammed! I will not separate from you until you pay me." Nabi Sallallau Alaihi Wa Sallam said: "In that case I will sit with you" (As long as you in need of your money I will not run away or leave you but to show my sincere intention to pay you, I will remain with you)."
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam sat with him and performed Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Esha and Fajr while They were together. The Sahaaba Radiyallahu Anhum were threatening and intended to chase the man away (due to extreme love for Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Their intentions drew the attention of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam and They said: "O Messenger of Allah A jewish man is detaining you!" Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said: "My Rabb has forbade me from oppressing a person who has a right upon me and besides such people, others as well."
When the new day dawned, the Jew said: "I bear witness that there is no diety except Allah and I bear witness that verily you are the Messenger of Allah and I give half of my wealth in the path of Allah. By the Qasm (OATH) of Allah! the act that I done was not done except to see your qualities in the Taurah (to see if you are true and your qualities match the description of the messenger described in the Jewish scriptures, He then mentioned the qualities...) Muhammed son of Abdullah, His birth in Makka, His migration to Tayyiba (Madinah), His kingdom Shaam (Today Syria is knowm as Shaam however in that era a major portion of the Arabian peninsula was knowm as Shaam), not harsh nor hard, not proned to raise his voice in the markets, not a man of immodest actions nor a man of immodest speech. I bear witness that there is no diety except Allah and verily you are the Messenger of Allah, this is my wealth so utilise it using the wisdom that Allah Ta'aala has bestowed you with." (The narrator says...) and this jew was a very wealthy man. (Baihaqi, Mishkaat pg 520/521)
Q. Why didn't Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam have the Dinaars when the Jew came to claim it?
A. If the two parties in such a situation agree upon a date of payment then this will be for the best, however according to Shariat law, the creditor has the right to claim his money before the date of agreement, even though it will be against the dictates of "good character". In the Hadeeth mentioned above, the man asked for his money before the date of agreement and Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam was obviously not in the position to pay at that time.

Steak Express
500g tenderized steak cut into strips
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp chilli garlic paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp red chillies
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp crushed cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp barbeque spice
2 Tbsp vinegar
2 Tbsp oil
1 small onion
1 med green pepper
1 med red pepper
2 Tbsp peri peri sauce
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp tomato sauce
Combine all the ingredients except the oil and marinate the steak for 2-3 hours. Heat the oil and stir fry the steak for a few minutes. Add 1 cup water and cook until steak is tender. Heat oil and stir fry the onions and green and red peppers and add to the steak. Finally add the sauces and simmer until slightly thick. Add more salt or chillies if required. Serve with either chips or bread rolls
