SURAH
Al-Muzzammil 73: (The Wrapped up one)
This Surah is Makki, and it has 20 verses and 2 Sections.
With the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Very-Merciful
On the Day when the earth and the mountains will quake, and the mountains will turn into a slipping heap of sand. [14]
We have sent to you a messenger, as a witness over you, just as We sent a messenger to Fir'aun (the Pharaoh). [15]
Then, Fir'aun disobeyed the messenger; so We seized him with a severe seizure. [16]
So, if you disbelieve, how will you save yourself from a day that will turn the small boys into grey-headed old men... [17]
COMMENTARY: These verses describe the horrors and terrors of the Day of Resurrection. Verse [14] describes that the punishment will take place on the Day when the earth and mountains will shake and the mountains will be reduced to a heap of dust or shifting dunes.
Thereafter, reference is made to the story of Moosa AS and Fir'aun in order to threaten the pagans of Makkah. Allah sent a Messenger, Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) to bear witness against the pagans of Makkah just as He sent a Messenger, Moosa AS to Fir'aun. But Fir'aun disobeyed Moosa AS and Allah seized him with terrible severity right in this world. Likewise, if the pagans of Makkah persist stubbornly in their pagan conduct, they too can be seized similarly with terrible severity in this very world.
Towards the conclusion, the verse says that if no torment is inflicted in this world, no one can escape the horrors and terrors and length of the Day of Resurrection that will turn the children grey. This could be a metaphor for the most calamitous happenings which bring about disastrous changes. But some scholars say that this is a description of reality, in that the Day of Resurrection will be so long that a little child will grow old. [Qurtubi and Ruh]

200g pkts Marie biscuits
160ml melted butter
3 eggs
125ml castor sugar
1 x 250g tub smooth cottage cheese
200g chocolate, melted
1 x 310g can Nestle cream
Method:
Crush biscuits and mix with melted butter. Press mixture over sides and
base of a 20cm spring form pan. Beat eggs, castor sugar, and cottage cheese.
Add melted chocolate and Nestle cream. Beat till smooth. Pour into prepared
crumb crust. Bake at 150C for 60 minutes or until set. Chill until ready
to serve.

The Soul is the king over the body as a king is over an empire. In the empire of the soul; the hands, the feet and the other organs are like different businessmen and industrialists in town. Greed is the collector of revenue in that town, anger is its police, intellect is it minister and the soul is its king.
The collector, 'greed' is like one who collects food. Anger is like the police who keeps guard over it. The collector, 'greed' is a downright liar and a deceiver. It ostensibly wishes good but there is destructive poison in it.
The reign of the soul over the region of the body is similar. It goes on well if all the organs and attributes are under the rule of the soul. When the soul takes the help of its minister, the intellect, it rules over 'greed' keeping 'anger' in control. In order to bring 'anger' under control, sometimes it seeks the help of 'greed' and then its character and conduct become good.
He who goes away from this path, becomes like one about whom Allah speaks in the following verse: "Have you looked towards one who takes his passion as deity-25:43?" Allah says: 'He who follows his greed is like a dog. If you attack it, it will prolong its tongue. If you give it up, it will also prolong its tongue-7:176."
Allah speaks in another verse about the person who controls his passion: As for such men as entertained the fear of standing before their Lord and controlled their souls from low desires, their abode will be Paradise. -79:41
~ GHAZALI ~
Once a teacher was sitting in class, and he saw that one of the students had his Topi (head-cap) not covering his whole hair; a little bit of his fore-head was showing, revealing some hair which is the contrary to the Sunnat of the Topi. The Sunnat is that the hair at the front should be covered.
The teacher took his Topi off and placed it on again slowly. All the students in the class had extreme respect for the teacher and wanted to copy his every action, so they also copied him. The student whose topi was not covering his hair also copied his teacher making his Topi cover his hair.
The teacher started smiling at how his students had copied him. He then narrated the following story to his students. ‘Once, there was a Topi merchant and he had many Topis in a sack which he was carrying on his back. He was traveling through a forest when suddenly he felt sleepy, so he rested against a tree and fell asleep.
’When he woke up, he saw that his sack was present, but all the topis were missing. Puzzled, he searched here and there, but could not find anything. Being frustrated, he sat against the tree again and looked up, when he saw a bunch of monkeys on the branches of the tree. And surprisingly, the monkeys had the Topis on their heads.
‘Now, he began to think about how he could get his topis back. So he wiped some sweat with his forearm from his forehead; suddenly, all the monkeys copied him. He then lifted one hand and all the monkeys copied him. He then raised the Topi that was on his head in the air and all the monkeys copied him. Then he chucked his Topi on the ground and all the monkeys copied him. He quickly picked up all his Topis and went away.’
