A’ishah
RA reported: A poor woman came to me carrying her two daughters.
I gave her three date-fruits. She gave a date to each of
them and then she took up one date-fruit and brought that
to her mouth to eat, but her daughters asked her that also.
She then divided between them the date-fruit that she intended
to eat. This (kind) treatment of her impressed me and I
mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alyhi
Wa Sallam who said, 'Verily, Allah has assured Jannah for
her, because of (this act) of her,'' or said, "He,
(Allah) has rescued her from Hell-Fire". [Muslim]
Commentary:
Besides great merit of the upbringing of daughters,
this Hadith also tells us that if a wife has
secured general permission from her husband to use his money
in charity she can offer Sadaqah (Charity), and its reward
will be given to both of them. The former will be entitled
to it for paying it, while the latter will be eligible to
it for giving his consent to it.

STEAK
PIE

Dough
2 ½ cups flour - 2 ½ tsp Baking powder - 1/4 lb butter - Salt
and Pepper.
Method
Rub butter into flour. Add baking power salt and pepper. Maker
soft dough with cold milk. Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll
round to fit greased tray. Spread tomato sauce chutney steak
filling mash & cheese. Cover with other dough round, prick
with fork brush with egg and garnish with green peppers or
sesame seeds. Bake in oven.
Filling
Cook 1/2kg cubed steak with salt, red masala, arad, dhnana,
jeeru, vinegar and lemon juice till soft and tender. |
