THE
BUTTERFLY AND THE FLOWER
--------------------------------
Once there was a man who asked Allah for a flower... and
a butterfly. But instead Allah gave him a cactus... and
a caterpillar The man was sad, he didn’t understand why
his request was mistaken. Then he thought: not to question.
After some time, the man went to check up on his request
that he had left forgotten. To his surprise, from the thorny
& ugly cactus a beautiful flower had grown. And the
unsightly carterpillar had been transformed into the most
beautiful butterfly.
Allah
always does things right! His way is ALWAYS the best way,
even if to us it seems all wrong. If you asked Allah for
one thing & received another, TRUST. You can be sure
that He will always give you what you need at the appropriate
time.
What
you want... is not always what you need! Allah never fails
to grant our petitions, so keep on going for Him without
doubting or murmuring.

A
series of attacks in Baghdad killed at least 10 people and
injured 30. One of the bombings was a twin car bombing in
a business district.
Several
explosions have been heard near the US embassy in Sanaa, the
Yemeni capital. Gunfire was also heard along with the explosions.
A vehicle was on fire on the road past the embassy compound's
perimeter and police have sealed off the area.
President
Thabo Mbeki says while the African Union has no control over
the decision of the International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor
to put on trial Sudan's President Omar Al-Bashir for war crimes,
the AU wants Al-Bashir's warrant of arrest suspended.
Israel's
ruling party is set to elect a new leader to replace Ehud
Olmert, the prime minister, in the wake of corruption allegations
against him and concerns over his leadership.
NPA
to Appeal Zuma Ruling. The NPA has spent the past few days
examining Pietermaritzburg High Court Judge Chris Nicholson's
25 000-word judgment. Nicholson found that in terms of the
law, Zuma should have been consulted before being charged.
Nicholson also said that President Thabo Mbeki may have interfered
with the charges surrounding Zuma. |

| RECIPE |
MADIERA
AND CHERRY SQUARES
(Makes 20 squares)
--------------------
125g butter - 200 ml sugar - 2 extra large eggs - 5 ml vanilla
essence - 375 ml Snow flake - self raising flour (210g) -
60 ml milk - 200g glace red cherries.
Beat
butter and sugar. Add egg, one at a time, beating well after
each addition. Sift flour and add with milk. Dip cherries
in flour and stir in gently. Spoon into a rectangular tin
of about 20 cm times 24 cm. Bake in a preheated oven at about
180 degree c for 20 – 25 minutes. Leave to cool and dust with
icing sugar. |

| HEALTH TIPs |
Do
not drink water immediately after waking up from your sleep,
nor should you go outside into the open immediately after
waking up. If you are very thirsty, then the best way to
drink would be by holding your nose. Take one sip at a time
and once you have finished drinking, continue holding your
nose for a little while and do not breathe in through your
nose.
In
the same way, do not drink water immediately after having
walked in the heat. This is more so for the person who has
suffered a heat stroke. If he drinks a lot of water, he
can die immediately. In the same way, water should not be
drunk on an empty stomach, nor should one drink water immediately
after having passed stool.
