THE FRIDAY KHUTBAH (SERMON) |
THERE
SHOULD BE NO COMPROMISE ON ISLAAMIC PRINCIPLES
by Imâm al-Haramain Sa'ûd ash-Shuraim
-------------------------------------
All praise is due to Allaah. May peace and benedictions
be upon the Messenger of Allaah, his household and companions.
Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah, put your trust in Him, seek
for His aid and humble yourselves before Him in order to
be elevated and have a good ending in this world and the
hereafter. Allaah says,
“No
doubt verily, the friends of Allaah, no fear shall come
upon them, nor shall they grieve. Those who believed in
the oneness of Allaah and used to fear Him much.” (Yoonus
10:62-63)
Brethren
in Faith! When one takes a cursory look at the series of
the current world happenings one will conclude that he who
claims that any concepts, movements or ideologies that do
not emanate from Islaam and its pristine teachings can solve
the world problems and correct the wrongs should be either
abnormal, sick or a conspirator who should not be trusted
at all.
Islaam
is a pure religion that frees man from worshipping fellow
creatures to the worshipping of the Creator. It affirms
that real glory can only be achieved through Islaam while
humiliation is a result of keeping away from it. No matter
what happens, it is impossible for Islaam to enter a heart
with all its sweetness and yet that heart surrenders to
any other authority besides that of Allaah. read

DUA/PRAYER |
WHEN
YOU HAVE A DREAM
--------------------------
Abu Salamata bin Abdurrahmãn RA said: I heard Qatãda the son
of Rib'iy say: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "Ru'yã
(dream) is from Allah, and hulmu is from the Shaytan, so if
one of you sees something he hates, let him spittle to his
left three times when he awakens, and let him seek protection
in Allah from its evil, for, Allah willing, it will not harm
him."
Abu
Salamata said: I used to consider a Ru'yã heavier upon me
than a mountain, then when I heard this Hadith, I became dis-concerned,
and in one narration "He said: I used to see Ru'yãs (Dreams)
as cause for concern, until I heard Aba Qatãda say: I used
to see Ru'yãs and they would make me sick, until I heard the
Messenger of Allah say: "The good Ru'ya is from Allah,
so if one of you sees what he likes, then he should not tell
anyone about it except those whom he loves, and if he sees
something he hates, then he should tell no one of it, and
he should spit to his left three times, and solicit Allah's
protection from the despicable Shaytan from the evil of what
he saw, for it will not harm him. |

shifts and changes expected when a new government takes over
after next year's elections.
ANC
secretary-general Gwede Mantashe says that a breakaway party
by former ANC chairperson Terror Lekota will poach more voters
from opposition parties than from the ANC. He says opposition
parties were quick to welcome the announcement by Lekota that
a national convention would be held to discuss the possibility
about a new political party.

A THOUGHT |
THE
WORLD OF LOVE
---------------------
The world of love has neither beginning nor end; there is
no guide to it save a bleeding heart. He is a lover who from
the first step he takes, immerses himself from head to foot
in blood becoming like so much mud.
0
Lord, I have said many foolish things; I have said much that
was true and much that was not. Though the sinner commit a
hundred worlds of sins, yet one atom of Thy grace will efface
them all.
We
have nothing but sins to offer, no acts of devotion. What
can we bring to counterbalance our sins? Only a small handful
of things.
Since
such is our case, 0 Lord, do not abandon us to ourselves.
Thou transcends the categories of quantity, quality, and cause;
Thou art beyond and outside of the world.
0
Lord, Thy mercy is a universal sea; a single drop of it would
suffice for us. If Thou were to wash the pollution of Thy
sinful creatures in that sea, The water would not be darkened
for a moment but the case of a whole world of people would
be brighter.
What
loss would that sea of mercy suffer if Thou gavest one drop
of water to Thy creatures?

TWO
MISERS GET ROBBED
------------------------
Two misers are in a bank, when, suddenly, armed robbers burst
in.
While
several of the robbers take the money from the tellers, others
line the customers, including the misers, up against a wall,
and proceed to take their wallets, watches, etc. While this
is going on miser number one jams something in miser number
two's hand.
Without
looking down, miser number two whispers, "What is this?"
to which miser number one replies, "It's that $50 I owe
you." |
