COMPREHENSIVE
SECURITY IN ISLAM

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of the Worlds. May peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon the Messenger, his household
and companions.
Fellow Muslims! Affording oneself a time for self-examination
and self-admonition is in concordant with the saying of
the Messenger of Allaah. Indeed, acquainting oneself of
the sayings of the Prophet provides light, gladdens the
heart, makes one have belief in him and follow the light
which he brought from his Lord. One will also find in those
sayings clear and unambiguous facts that the reality of
a Muslim, his high position and his pure and stable life
is not based on mere passing enjoyments or avoiding facts
perceived as restrictions.
Whoever acquaints himself with the sunnah will only find
things that make him happy and show him the way that leads
to the highest goal of his life. The Messenger of Allaah
said, “Whoever wakes up in the morning secured in his home,
healthy in his body and possesses his daily bread is like
the one who is given the whole of this world as his possession.”
(At-Tirmidhee and others)
Allaahu Akbar! These are just few words full of real meaning
of life and its stability. They give man the true picture
of life with all its ups and downs in just three criteria
in which no sane person would imagine a happy worldly life
without any of them. They are simple statements that any
man can say but the Prophet’s saying that they are equivalent
to having the whole world in one’s possession makes one
think deeply over the far-reaching meanings of them.
Brethren in Islaam! One’s security in his house is a goal
that every individual and every society pursue. A secured
life is a topic that is preached over all pulpits because
of a strong relationship between that and societal stability.
If not, what is the benefit of a morsel that man eats, water
that he drinks or of his sleeping and studying knowledge
while he is in fear? Any society that lacks security actually
lacks the essence of life and becomes subjective to usurpers
and divided within itself.
It is therefore because of the importance of security that
Islaam enforces it in any circumstances and fights all kinds
of negligence in its implementation either this negligence
comes in form of intermediaries who seek to undermine it
or in form of reluctance to criticise those who claim to
be civilized and accuse others of retrogression. When security
becomes weak in the Muslim society, those who cause that
are actually burying the Muslim heritage of that society
and killing the peaceful life of the present generation
and its future. read

Russia
today promised to withdraw most of its forces from deep inside
Georgia. They will however keep a military presence in two
separatist regions, South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as
in a buffer zone. Russian forces have been in Georgia for
the last two weeks.
The
North African wing of the al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility
for the recent car bombings in Algeria. The claim was made
on Thursday through an audio recording by a member of al-Qaeda
in the Islamic Maghreb called Salah Abu Mohammad.
Yusha
Tayob, the attorney for Mufti Hussain Bhayat and Haroon Saley
says that the families are still trying to cope with the detention.
Tayob says they have been given assistance by Foreign Affairs.
Ugandan military yesterday confirmed in an exclusive to Radio
Islam, that Bhayat and Saley are being held by Military Intelligence.
Limpopo
serial killer and rapist, Mukosi Mulaudzi, has been sentenced
to 11 life sentences and an additional 176 years in prison
on 26 counts of murder, attempted murder and rape. Mulaudzi
brutally murdered women and children with an axe and an iron
rod in the Venda area between 2004 and 2006.
Residents
have caught burglars in Ext 1 Lenasia. Earlier armed robbers
tried to rob a business in Lenasia and residents gave chase.
The robbers hid away in the neighbourhood. Police dogs are
searching.

APPLE
CREAM PIE
Ingredients
315ml Cake Flour - 2.5ml Salt - 2.5ml Ground Cinnamon - 65ml
Sugar - 5ml Baking Powder - 10ml Grated Lemon Rind - 124ml
Butter or Margarine - 1 egg.
Filling
2 Large Granny Smith Apples - 2 eggs - 12.5ml sugar - 30ml
Cake Flour sifted - 10ml grated lemon rind - 12.5ml fresh
cream - 1 x 250g carton cream cheese - 15ml mixed peel (optional)
- 65ml raisins or sultanas - 1ml salt.
Method
Preheat oven to 180c and grease a fairly deep 30cm cake tin.
Pastry: sift together dry ingredients add lemon rind and cut
in butter or margarine using two knives. Add egg and mix well
to form a smooth ball. Roll out pastry on floured surface.
Line base with pastry. Filling: Peel and core apples cut into
quarters then into thin slices. Arrange in over lapping lines
in pastry shell. Beat eggs and sugar till thick. Gradually
add rest of ingredients for filling and mix well. Pour mixture
over apples and bake for 1 hour. Serve hot or cold and top
with whipped cream sprinkle with cinnamon. |

If
you are only using half an avocado, leave the pit in the unused
half and refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap. This will
retard discolouration. |

this purpose, to wit, to manifest happiness by its opposites.
Hidden things are manifested by their opposites. But, as Allah
has no opposite. He remains hidden. Allah's light has no opposite
in the range of creation whereby it may be manifested to view.
