AL-MURSALAAT - (Those Sent) - 77
In the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful
Providing
excuses (for the believers) or giving warnings (to the disbelievers),
[6]
COMMENTARY:
(to provide excuses [for the believers] or giving warnings
(to disbelievers...77:6) This phrase is complement to verse
(then bring down the advice. The 'advice' refers to the 'revelation'
that came down upon the Prophets.
Verse
6 says that it serves two purposes, In the case of the people
of truth and believers, it persuades them to seek excuse from
Allah for their shortcomings, and pray for forgiveness; and
in the case of the people of falsehood and disbelievers, it
contains a warning for them of Allah's torment, if they oppose
His command.

| THE
MESSAGE |
The
SAHAABAH (Companions) of RASULULLAH SAW
----------------------------------------------------
People who saw NABI Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam or stayed
in his company, embraced ISLAM and died as MUSLIMS are known
as SAHAABAH. Singular:
Sahaabi - Plural: Sahaabah.
Any
person who was in the companionship or saw NABI Sallallahu
Alyhi Wa Sallam for even a very little while is a Sahaabi
provided he or she died a MUSLIM.
1.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam mentioned: "All
the Sahabaah are just and pious and whomsoever amongst them
you shall follow, you shall be guided."
2.
The highest rank amongst the Sahaabah is that of Sayyadina
ABU BAKR RA. His position is superior to the entire Ummah
(followers) of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam untill
the day of QIYAAMAH. Next in rank is Sayyadina UMAR bin
KHATTAB RA. Thereafter is the position of Sayyadina UTHMAN
RA, and then Sayyadina ALI RA. Thereafter the position of
the other Sahaabah is best known by ALLAH TA'ALA alone.
3.
Amongst the Sahaabah is a group of TEN Companions regarding
whom NABI Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam gave the glad tiding
of JANNAH (Paradise). These are known as the ASHARA-AL-MUBASHSHARAH
(the ten who have been given the glad tidings of JANNAT).
They
are:-
1. Sayyadina Abu Bakr RA.
2. Sayyadina Omar RA.
3. Sayyadina Osman RA.
4. Sayyadina Ali RA.
5. Sayyadina Talha RA.
6. Sayyadina Zubair RA.
7. Sayyadina Abdur Rahman bin Auf RA.
8. Sayyadina Saad bin abi Waqqas RA.
9. Sayyadina Saeed bin Jubair RA.
10. Sayyadina Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah RA.
It
is from the Sahaabah that the world learnt the DEEN of ISLAM.
It is from them that we established the SHARIAH and obtained
the SUNNAH of our NABI Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam. A non-Sahabi
is not equal in rank to the LOWEST Sahaabi, even though
the non-Sahaabi may be the greatest WALI (pious friend of
Allah).
It
is COMPULSORY to show respect to all the Sahaabah, and ABSTAIN
from speaking ill and criticizing the noble Sahaabah of
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam.

An
allegedly Al-Qaeda-linked chief in Pakistan has issued a letter
ordering an end to attacks on security forces. Baitullah Mehsud
issued the order amid peace talks with the government.
The
US, Britain, France and other members walked out of a closed
meeting of the UN Security Council after Libya compared the
situation in Gaza to Nazi concentration camps in World War
II.
The
Chinese ship with the consignment of weapons for Zimbabwe
has become "a ship of mass confusion". Stephen Olley
of Lloyd's Maritime Intelligence Unit in London says the ship
could possibly be found in an area off the Cape coast where
radio beacons could not find it. Earlier reports say the captain
may have switched off the ships transponder.
The
SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) is giving the Deputy Minister
for Safety and Security, Susan Shabangu, 14 days to clarify
her statements that police must 'shoot-to-kill' criminals.
King
Mswati Mswati III says Swaziland is benefiting from South
Africa's strong economy growth. Speaking during a banquet
hosted in President Thabo Mbeki's honour, the King says as
a member of the Southern African Customs Union (Sacu), Swaziland
is also benefiting from international trade.

COCONUT CREAM VEGETABLES

medium onions - 2 brinjals - 3 - 4 baby potatoes - 6 thick
slices of Dhodi (leave in salted water) calabash - 6 wedges
of pumpkin - 1 cup corn mealies and peas - 3 medium tomatoes.

Tbsp oil - *2 springs of curry leaf - *1 tsp fennel seeds
- *2 Tbsp ginger garlic - *2 Tbsp dhunia chutney - 1 tsp
salt - 4 Tbsp fresh grated coconut.
Steep
in 1 cup hot water and when cool put in blender for 1 min
at full speed. Strain this through sieve discard pulp and
keep liquid aside.
Method
Firstly prepare veggies by washing and cutting
into wedges. Grate or chop onions fine. In a waterless pot
Saute in oil all the ingredients marked with an * asterisk.
Before
onions changed colour, add salt, dhunia chutney and those
veggies that take longer to cook. Such as mealie cobs, potatoes
etc. toss and turn veggies to coat them well with oil.
Add
coconut cream, again toss and turn veggies, then close lid
and simmer very slowly opening lid only to add the other types
of veggies.
Total
cooking time should be about 20 - 25 minutes.
Tips
You can add 2 - 3 whole red chilies when the onions
are being sauted.
The contents can be emptied into a casserole and microwave. |
