CAUSES OF YOUTH PERVERSION

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Allaah created His servants on a sound and balanced nature. He sent Messengers to confirm and perfect that. Young people are fertile and open ground for all that is introduced to them, either good or bad; and they readily accept whichever of the good or false ideologies, and excellent or bad morals that comes their way. The Messenger of Allaah said, “Every child is naturally born on Islaamic Monotheism. It is his parents that makes out of him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian.”

Youths’ minds are a target for the enemies of Islaam who have different ways of luring young Muslims into their snares through temptations or misconceptions. They do this in order to drag them into the abyss of lusts, whims and forbidden things. Hence, the only way to protect the youths against these wolves is to fortify them with the Islaamic knowledge that increases man in light and cognizance and keeps him away from filthy actions. Fresh clashes have erupted between fighters from the Islamic Courts Union and Ethiopian forces in the Somali capital Mogadishu, leaving at least 13 people dead, most of them civilians.

A Zimbabwean magistrate has refused to throw out a treason charge against a senior member of the country's main opposition party, in the run up to a presidential vote next week. Mishrod Guvamombe ruled on Friday that Tendai Biti, secretary-general of the Movement for Democratic Change, would remain in custody until July 7.

The death toll from the floods in Kwazulu Natal is rising sharply. At least 10 people have been reported dead with one elderly person still missing. The South African Red Cross in KwaZulu-Natal says it is in desperate need for donations.

The entrance to the Standard Bank in Lenasia was blown up this morning. The incident took place at one o'clock. The robbers came in five cars and heavily armed. They blew up three machines the explosions were so powerful they were heard 4km away.
