| THE
YOUNG SCHOLAR

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite
a long time. When
he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious
scholar or any expert who could answer his 3 Questions. His
parents were able to find him a Muslim scholar. This was what
they had discussed:
Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?
Scholar: I am one of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala's servants and
Insha-Allah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.
Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were
NOT able to answer my questions.
Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah (SubHana
Wa Ta`ala).
Young Man: I have 3 questions:
1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
2. What is Taqdeer (fate)?
3. If Shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the
end he will be thrown to hell that is also created from fire.
It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil)
and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of
it this far?
Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face very hard.
Young Man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry at me?
Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three
questions.
Young Man: I really don't understand.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.
Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?
Young Man: Yes.
Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!
Young Man: I cannot.
Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God's existence
without being able to see His shape... Last night, did you
dream that you will be slapped by me?
Young
Man: No.
Scholar:
Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me today?
Young
Man: No.
Scholar:
That is Taqdeer (fate) my second answer... My hand that I
used to slap you, what is it created from?
Young
Man: It is created from flesh.
Scholar:
How about your face, what is it created from?
Young
Man: Flesh.
Scholar:
How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young
Man: In pain.
Scholar:
Thats it. this is my third answer, Even though Shaitan (Devil)
and also the hell were created from the fire, if Allah wants,
insha-Allah (God willing), the hell will become a very painful
place for Shaitan. |

Palestinian
President, Mahmoud Abbas has won support from Egypt and the
European Union for a plan that will see Abbas’s PLO
in control of the Rafah crossing. The move comes as Egyptian
and Hamas security forces repair breaches to the border, in
a sign that the crossing between Egypt and Gaza will close
soon.
US
president George Bush, has used his seventh and final State
of the Union to defend his unpopular Iraq war strategy. Bush
says an early withdrawal in Iraq would hamper the US’s
so called peace plans in the region.
The
Confederation of African Football has warned Egyptian striker
Mohamed Aboutreika over a sign displaying solidarity with
the people of the Gaza Strip.
South
African mine owners are hopeful that an agreement may be reached
with Eskom today. This means miningf companies will be able
to resume their operations soon.
Airports
company ACSA and baggage handlers Equity Aviation will take
each other on in the Johannesburg High Court today. Equity
is involved in a dispute with ACSA after its contract was
cancelled last year - it’s asking the court to allow
it to trade until a new license tender is finalised later
this year. |

MINCE
SEEKH KEBABS
1 kg mince - 3tsp green ground chillies - 4 tsp baking powder
- 4 egss yolks - 6 slices bread - 1 bunch dhunia - 1 ½
tsp white powder - ½ tsp grated nutmeg - 2 tsp salt
- 1 large onion - 1 bunch spring onions.
Method
Squeeze out all moisture from washed mince. Put bread in
processor and crumb fine like. Put chopped greens and all
other ingredients in a bowl and add to mince & bread
crumbs. Either put in processor to mix or knead with hands
till the mixture is well mixed. Shape mince into balls and
flatten slightly. Whisk egg whites slightly, Dip kebabs
in this and fry in deep oil till they are a lovely gold
colour.

AND VITAMIN A/E

This is a very good and effective cleanser, especially for
people with blemishes. Take half a cup of warm water. Add
one-tablespoon honey. Snip open one capsule of vitamin A
and one capsule of vitamin E. Mix well. Apply quickly all
over the face. Leave it on for 2 minutes and wash with cold
water.
These cleansers can be used in the mornings before a bath;
however, it is imperative to use them at bedtime. Remove
all traces of make-up with milk, or rosewater and glycerine
cleansers everyday, and use any of the others occasionally
to treat your skin to a special cleansing routine.

A old man is buying a parrot.

you sure it doesn't scream, yell, or swear?" he asked.
"Oh
absolutely. It's a religious parrot," the storekeeper
assures him.
"Do
you see those strings on his legs? When you pull the right
one, he recites a prayer, and when you pull on the left he
recites verses."
"Wonderful!"
says the old man, "but what happens if you pull both
strings?"
"I
fall off my perch, you stupid fool!" screeched the parrot. |
