THE
MESSAGE |
Take
it easy?
A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman
that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land
area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area
of land he has covered.
Sure
enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode
as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could.
He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as
fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not
stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.
Came
to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was
exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, "Why
did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now
I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The
above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push
very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition.
We neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate
the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One
day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really
need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what
we have missed.
Life
is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition.
Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary
to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures
of life. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal
time. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life.
Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise
but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts.
Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole
aim of human existence.
So,
take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature.
Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted.
Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy Life! |

RABBY
AWZINY AN ASHKURA NIMATAKALLATY ANAMTA ALAYYA WA ALAA WALIDAYYA
WA AN A'AMALA SAULIHAN TARDHAUHU WA ASLIHLY FEE THURRIYYATY
INNY TUBTU ILAYKA WA INNY MINAL MUSLIMEEN.
O
Lord, grant me that I may be grateful to thee for the favours
which Thou bestowed on me and my parents and that I may act
in a manner which may earn thine pleasure and also reform
my children; truly do I repent before Thee and I am truly
a Muslim.
BENEFIT:
Sayyadina Abu Bakr RA made this Dua excessively. Hence all
his family members accepted Islam. It is also beneficial for
disobedient children. |

RAMADHAAN
Q&A |
If
a person recovered from his sickness but continued feeling
weak and he feels that if he fasts, he will fall ill again.
It will be permissible not to fast.
If a person is travelling, it is permissible for him not
to fast. He must make Qadha of the missed fast whenever
possible. ""Travelling"" in this context
is the same as that mentioned in the chapter on offering
Salaah while travelling, i.e. one must have the intention
of travelling approximately 77 kilometres or more.
If by travelling, a person will not experience any difficulties
by fasting, e.g. he is travelling by train and feels that
he will reach his destination by the evening or he has all
the necessary items which will give him comfort during the
course of the journey, in such a case it will be preferable
to fast even though he is still regarded as a Musafir. But
if he does not fast despite all these comforts, even then
there will be no sin on him. However, he will be deprived
of the virtue of fasting in the month of Ramadhaan. If a
person experiences difficulties because of fasting during
the course of his journey, in such a case it will be better
not to fast."

A
THOUGHT |
Unnecessary
Talking - Umar Ibn al-Khattab, May Allah be pleased
with him, said: "A person who talks too much is a person
who often makes mistakes, and someone who often makes mistakes,
often has wrong actions. The Fire has a priority over such
a frequent sinner." |

THE
SMILE |
A
small boy was looking at the red ripe tomatoes growing in
the farmer's garden. "I'll give you my two pennies for
that tomato," said the boy pointing to a beautiful, large,
ripe fruit hanging on the vine.
"No," said the farmer, "I get a dime for a
tomato like that one."
The small boy pointed to a smaller green one, "Will you
take two pennies for that one?"
"Yes,"
replied the farmer, "I'll give you that one for two cents."
"OK,"
said the lad, sealing the deal by putting the coins in the
farmer's hand, "I'll pick it up in about a week."
