24.08.07 - Mayyit of: Tasneem Cassim - WILL LEAVE FROM: Jewel Street Laudium - Time: 11:00 - QABRASTAAN: Laudium - CAUSE OF DEATH: Natural

PERSONALITY

ABU SA'EED AL-KHUDRI
(10 before Hijrah – 74 AH)

Abu Sa'eed, Sa'ad bin Maalik Sinaan Al-Khudri Al-Ansaari Al-Khazraji was a respected sahaabah, who was always with Rasulullah SAW. He was thirteen years old when his father was martyred, on the Day of (at the Battle of) Uhud, at the side of Rasulullah SAW. His father had taken him by the hand and said, “Oh Messenger of Allah, Indeed he is very plump”. This caused Rasulullah SAW to rise, look at him and consider him. He (the father) said to his son, “Return to him”. Thus, he went to him (Rasulullah SAW) and was present with him at the ( Battle of) the Khandaq, the pledge of Ar-Ridwaan and all of the others.

There was not one of the companions of Rasulullah SAW who did not learn of the events from Abi Sa'eed Al-Khudri. It has been narrated that his family complained to him of their requirements, so he went to Rasulullah SAW {who was in the Masjid with some of the Companions} and requested the things of them. He stood on the minbar and said, “Oh People, the time has come for you to manage your affairs without problems. Indeed entreating is loathsome to Allah and of satisfaction, Allah is content with him. The self (same) is to Mohammed, by His Hand what He has provided and blessed his slave with wealth and a great amount of patience”.

He narrated one thousand one hundred and seventy Hadith of Rasulullah SAW. Most of his time was spent in the Prophet's Masjid. He passed away in Al-Madinah in the year 74 A.H.

HEALTH TIP

Everyone has the potential to have high energy all the time, but energy levels go up and down – our energy is being sapped – by relationships – by work – by pretending to be someone your not. So you need to be yourself – it will stop your nerves being on edge – get your life in perspective – then the brains chemical balances immediately start to level out and you'll feel the energy levels start to rise. The key to having mental energy is to take control of your life. If you've got too many bills to pay, too many emails, too many meetings, you'll feel out of control and your will be out of balance.

But how do you make this happen? Just take small steps at a time, address a work issue head on, sort out relationship problems. Step by step analyze what is eating away at your mental energy and remove any negative barriers so that you channel your mental thoughts into a more positive direction.

HADITH, SAYINGS OF MUHAMMAD SAW

Moderation
Abu Hurairah RA reported: Rasulullah SAW said, "The religion (of Islam) is easy, and whoever makes the religion a rigour, it will overpower him. So, follow a middle course (in worship); if you can't do this, do something near to it and give glad tidings and seek help (of Allah) at morn and at dusk and some part of night". [Al-Bukhari]

Commentary:  Besides moderation in worship, this Hadith enjoins that such times should be fixed for worship when one is fresh so that one feels pleasure in performing it. But this principle is for optional and voluntary prayers only. Obligatory Salaah are to be performed at the prescribed times only.
