IF
YOU FEEL NO SHAME...
Then do as you wish!
----------------------
“ Every religion has a particular characteristic.
And the characteristic of Islam is hayaa ” (Ibn
Majah)
Islam
came to fight all despicable actions, to eradicate all
sins (outwardly and inwardly) and to establish a society
of cleanliness, chastity, modesty, virtue, honour and
purity (heart, soul, speech and action). At the head of
all virtuous manners is hayaa. It completes the
faith and holds a distinct value in Islam. “Tell the believing
men to lower their gaze and protect their private parts”
(An Nur: 30) “Tell the believing women to lower their
gaze and protect their private parts and not to show off
their adornment except only that which is apparent and
to draw veils all over (bodies, bosoms, necks)” (An Nur:
31).
Islam
introduced and established many laws based on the principle
of hayaa to protect Muslims from the evils of
immorality: The Islamic dress code for men and women (Hijab);
The ban on the free mixing/socializing of men and
women; The teachings on relations between the sexes.
These
laws reflect the value of hayaa in Islam and
the need for it to regulate the affairs of people. They
also serve to shield Muslims with modesty and dignity
and cut off all causes of immorality, lewdness and deviation
at the very root. It is only then that true success can
be achieved. Sadly today, many Muslims are far removed
from the concept and practice of hayaa that
Islam guides to. Do you not see the decline of morality
to levels previously unimaginable? Are you amongst those
that accept this immorality within society or even worse,
within the Muslim community? Indecency is made attractive,
as Muslims have become the carriers and messengers of
this filthy disease!
The
shocking symptoms of this are glaringly evident: children
born out of marriage; sexually transmitted diseases; abuse
of women and children; sexual abuse of children; rape;
pornography; appearing to be clothed yet really being
naked; competing in evil deeds – there is a complete lack
of shame in the lives of people!
Disgracefully
shameful acts are committed without any restraint or fear
of Allah. Men and women rush to sins like thirsty animals
rush to a watering hole, greedily drinking every last
drop, either choosing to ignore or reject the reality
that they are filling their bellies with nothing but the
Fire of Hell! O Muslims! Recognize an evil for what it
is! Do not be deceived by the immorality of anyone, be
it a “Muslim” or a Kaafir (disbeliever)! O Muslim! Is
this where you want to end up? You will do as you wish
if you do not strive to maintain this extremely
desirable quality by acting upon your natural instinct
of hayaa.
Hayaa
is the feeling of rejection for every disgraceful
matter, a quality instilled in man to deter us from fully
indulging our desires. It is among the most important
factors that leads us to perform righteous deeds and guides
us to perfect our character. Hayaa is the deterrent
from committing sinful deeds. It can be referred to as
your moral conscience, a feeling in the heart that keeps
us from performing evil deeds. He who does as he pleases
has a heart that is truly dead and possesses no shame
or self dignity whatsoever. Whoever possesses hayaa
will be troubled even if indulging in a wrong action
in private, for his hayaa is very much alive
and so is his heart. Surely the world is in desperate
need of a morality to put a stop to the decadence and
chaos that is so prevalent. This morality cannot be relative
to a people, place or time as many are fooled into believing.
This has to be a morality that is constant and offers
true protection. The world is in need of hayaa.
O Muslim! Do not underestimate the virtue of hayaa
for your Eemaan (faith) cannot exist without it.
In the words of Muhammad (SAW): “Hayaa and Eemaan are
two companions that go together. If one of them is lifted,
the other is also lifted” (Al Haakim) “Al Hayaa is part
of Eemaan” (Muslim)
Hayaa
manifests itself in many different ways and the
priority should be towards Allah. Are you ashamed to have
Allah see you do anything that is displeasing to Him?
This remembrance of Allah is the most important means
by which we may increase our hayaa. “The Hayaa
towards Allah, which is the true Hayaa, is for a person
to be mindful of his head and what it contains, and his
stomach and the bodily parts close to it, and to remember
death and disintegration. Whoever looks forward to the
Hereafter shall abandon the garnish of this life, and
he who does this has had Hayaa toward Allah in its proper
manner.” (Tirmidhi, Ahmad)
Do
you have hayaa towards the angels who witness
all your deeds? Do you have hayaa towards other
humans such that you do not harm them? O you who believe!
Have hayaa towards yourself so that you feel
ashamed if you perform a shameful deed! How is it that
we seek to remedy the ills of the societies we live in,
yet we choose to overlook the perfect remedy of Islam
found in the practical application of the Shari'ah of
Allah and His Messenger (SAW)?
O
you who believe! The time is now for you to act upon the
perfect solution to the immorality, corruption and decadence
that is surrounding you! Establish the way of life that
Islam has ordained for you, acquire hayaa, work
for Eemaan and live Allah's Islam! Islam is
complete! Islam is the solution! What will you choose?

ALLAHUMMAGH
FIRLY WA LIL MUMINEENA WAL MUMINAAT WAL MUSLIMEENA WAL
MUSLIMAAT.
O Allah! Forgive me, all Mumineen men and women and all
Muslims.
BENEFIT:
It comes in a Hadith that whosoever seeks forgiveness
for all believers 25 times during the day will be included
amongst the Mustajaabud Dawaat (those whose Duas are accepted
by Allah SWT).
Full
Awareness
After ten years of apprenticeship, Ahmed achieved
the rank of a scholar. One rainy day, he went to visit
a famous wise man. When he walked in, the wise man greeted
him with a question, "Did you leave your wooden clogs
and umbrella on the porch?" "Yes," Ahmed
replied. "Tell me," the wise man continued,
"did you place your umbrella to the left of your
shoes, or to the right?" Ahmed did not know the answer,
and realized that he had not yet attained full awareness.
So he became the wise man's apprentice and studied under
him for ten more years.
People's
reactions to this story:
"Just goes to show you how little we pay
attention to the things we do."
"This
story makes me realize how much of my time is wasted by
paying little attention to what I am doing at each moment.
I'm either focused on the past or future and am not aware
of what I'm doing."
"Do we remember EVERY detail of our day?! Is it possible
to be aware at all times?"
"Full
awareness includes even the most insignificant things?...
Very odd."
"It's
funny how people do things without realizing that they're
doing them. I'm a cashier at a convenience store, and
when I ask people what kind of sandwich they bought, they
forget and have to look down to read the wrapper."

Friendships:
isn't how you forget but how you forgive,
Friendships: not how you listen but how you understand,
Friendships: not what you see but how you feel
And friendships: not how you let go but how you hold on.
Roses are red, violets are blue, and the world is a mystery
without a friend like you.
The rose may die, the violet may cry but this friend will
never let a tear fall from your eyes.
Not
So Stupid
A businessman was talking with his barber, when they both
noticed a goofy-looking fellow bouncing down the sidewalk.
The barber whispered, "That's Tommy, one of the stupidest
kids you'll ever meet. Here, I'll show you."
"Hey
Tommy! Come here!" yelled the barber. Tommy came
bouncing over "Hi Mr. Williams!" The barber
pulled out a rusty dime and a shiny quarter and told Tommy
he could keep the one of his choice. Tommy looked long
and hard at the dime and quarter and then quickly snapped
the dime from the barber's hand. The barber looked at
the businessman and said, "See, I told you."
After his haircut, the businessman caught up with Tommy
and asked him why he chose the dime.
Tommy looked at him in the eye and said, "If I take
the quarter, the game is over."
